Upcoming Facelifted Skoda Kodiaq Snapped Ahead Of 2021 Launch

The Fortuner and Endeavour rival will get a new design and be a petrol-only offering

• The facelifted Kodiaq gets redesigned bumpers, new LED headlamps and tail lights, and a larger grille. 

• The Sportline trim has been spotted, which should be the entry-level offering in India. 

• It specifically gets blacked-out treatment on the alloy wheels, grille, and outside rearview mirrors. 

• Will be powered by a 190PS 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with 7-speed DSG (dual clutch automatic) and AWD as standard. 

• Likely to be priced from Rs 33 lakh (ex-showroom). 

The upcoming facelifted Skoda Kodiaq has been captured in pictures ahead of its expected launch in the coming months. The SUV was unveiled globally in April this year. The trim in these snaps is reportedly Sportline, which should be the entry-level offering here in the country. 

The updated Kodiaq gets subtle changes, primarily concentrated at the front. These include a reworked bonnet, a larger grille, redesigned front and rear bumpers, slimmer LED headlamps, and new LED taillights. The ‘Sportline’ trim snapped here gets a blacked-out grille, outside rearview mirrors, roof rails, spoiler, and alloy wheels. 

The Kodiaq should be available in the base-spec Sportline and top-spec Laurin and Klement trims. The SUV will feature three-zone climate control, front and rear parking sensors, a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster, a 9.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system, lane assist, electrically adjustable seats with ventilation and massage functions, and wireless charging. 

The India-spec facelifted Kodiaq will be powered by a 190PS 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a 7-speed DSG (dual-clutch automatic) and AWD as standard.

Skoda is expected to retail the Kodiaq from upward of Rs 33 lakh (ex-showroom). It will rival the Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour, MG Gloster and the Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace.
