VW Cars will be available to CAPF personnel and central security agencies at attractive prices
German carmaker Volkswagen has announced that it will sell cars through all the master and subsidiary canteens of the Central Police Canteen (CPC). Its cars will be available at attractive prices to all the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) – BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, SSB and Assam Rifles, along with other Central Security Agencies (CSA) employees (RPF, IB, SPG, NCRB, NIA and all state police organizations). The carmaker will offer additional benefits such as priority delivery, tax exemptions in select states and tailor-made offers as per the consumer’s requirements.
CPC currently has 119 master and in excess of 1500 subsidiary canteens operational across the length and breadth of the country. Volkswagen will sell numerous car models through this network, including the sub-4 metre sedan, the Ameo.
Michael Mayer, director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars India, shared his thoughts on this development, saying, “Extending our product offerings to the security personnel through the CPC is another milestone in our commitment towards providing customers with the option to choose one of the safest cars available in India. With our extensive product portfolio, we offer robust engineering, safety and a memorable driving experience for our customers.”
Volkswagen has become the twelfth carmaker in the country to offer one or multiple car models to CAPF personnel and CSA employees at discounted prices. The others in the list of automakers who offer their cars through the CPC network are Chevrolet, Ford, Fiat, Honda, Hyundai, Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki, Nissan, Renault, Tata Motors and Toyota.
