Volkswagen Jetta High End Trim SEL to Arrive in 2013

As Volkswagen Jetta petrol trim launch imminent news is heating up the Indian car market, the German auto company has announced to introduce a new high end variant of the sedan called SEL Plus in the latter half of 2012.  The cherry on the cake here is the Volkswagen plans to change the 2.5-liter inline-four with a 1.8-liter turbo-four next year. The new SEL trim will be full of lush and luxury, the fabric upholstery will give you a velvet feeling, and the changes incorporated in the GLI model will be seen under the American version too including the electric power steering

The market interest resides with the new 1.8-liter turbo-four cylinder engine that Volkswagen is going to introduce in Jetta high level trim as well as Passat and Bettle models are going to be powered by the same. The 1.8 L turbocharged engine found in European models of Volkswagen churns out 158 hp power and 185 lb of torque, the market is expecting the same kind of performance The rumor was Volkswagen will introduce the 1.4L turbocharged powerplant with Jetta and Beetle , however in order to be more economical and mainstay  the production in U.S., the company is going to reduce the engine choices.
