Volkswagen triumphs at the Autocar India awards

At the Awards ceremony held by India’s leading automotive magazine Autocar India on January 13, 2012, Volkswagen won the top honours in the Executive Car category with the new Jetta, the Passat with BlueMotion Technologies received the Green Car of the Year award and last but not the least the Brand also picked up the Automobile Advertisement of the Year award for its Jetta campaign.

The Volkswagen Jetta and the Volkswagen Passat with BlueMotion Technologies were the jury favourites and received the maximum votes keeping in mind performance, build quality, and value for money that the consumers get with these carlines without any compromise on its performance. While the Jetta commercial won the award due to its convincing communication.

Commenting on receipt of these awards Mr. Neeraj Garg, Member of Board and Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars said “We are truly delighted with this recognition by the jury members of the Autocar India Awards. The awards are a pure testimony of the increasing likeability towards the Brand and its carlines. Volkswagen sold 1,170 units of the Volkswagen Passat since its launch in April and 1,688 units of the Jetta since its launch in August last year.
