The fast approaching Renault Kwid's India launch is building excitement amongst enthusiats in the country. The car will feature a 800cc engine that is capable of producing 54bhp and 74Nm of torque. Kwid comes with many segment firsts that impose revolutionizing implications for the small car industry. The car will feature a segment first touchscreen infotainment system and air-conditioning controls. Renault Kwid also comes with an all digital, sporty instrument cluster and a wide variety of accessories that were made available by the company, recently.

The bookings for the car are live and can be made via a mobile phone app named "Renault Kwid". The car seems to be a second coming for the company, after the famous Renault Duster of course. Duster managed to revolutionize the compact SUV segment in India and in doing so, dominated the market with its striking looks and impressive engineering.

The Kwid might help Renault build strong foundations in the small car market, the same way Hyundai Santro helped the Korean automaker penetrate and find its root in the Indian automotive industry. Along with the impressive instruments that the French automaker is offering, what really makes Kwid promising is its incomparable price tag. With the base model starting at around Rs. 3.0 lacs the car will probably manage to outshine all of its competitors includiing Hyundai Eon, Datsun Go and Maruti Alto 800.
