Zest from Tata Motors launched in Nepal

After tasting the success in India, Tata Motors on Friday launched its Zest compact sedan in the neighboring country- Nepal. With a starting ex-showroom price of 24.5 Lakhs Nepali rupees for the petrol base, and 30.75 Lakhs Nepali rupees for the initial diesel variant, the sub-four offering is now on sale at company’s 18 passenger vehicle sales outlets across Nepal.

In Nepal too, the Zest is being offered in both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol variants get the new 1.2-litre Revotron mill, while the diesel trims comes equipped with the familiar 1.3-litre Quadrajet motor. Except a single diesel Automated Manual Transmission (AMT), all other variants comes with a common five-speed manual gearbox. The ARAI tested mileage of the petrol model is 17.6 Km/l, while the diesel trim delivers 23 Km/l.

Available in a total of five trim level – XE, XM, XMA, XMS, XT, with the petrol car skipping the XMA (AMT-equipped) trim, the colour options on the Zest includes Buzz Blue, Venetian Red, Sky Grey, Dune Beige, Platinum Silver and Pristine White.
