Lets compare the Zest with its rivaling compact sedans.
Price comparison (Ex-Showroom New Delhi): Tata Zest vs Hyundai Xcent vs Honda Amaze vs Maruti Swift Dzire
Diesel Engines: Tata Zest vs Hyundai Xcent vs Honda Amaze vs Maruti Swift Dzire
Petrol Engines: Tata Zest vs Hyundai Xcent vs Honda Amaze vs Maruti Swift Dzire
In a nutshell, Amaze is the most fuel efficient car in this segment and even packs more grunt when it comes to diesel engine. But it lacks a premium looking interiors though the exterior of the Amaze looks decent and the interior space is modest. Xcent on the other hand offers a premium looking interiors and several best-in-class features which are and which will remain unique to this car even after Zest's launch, like rear AC vents, 1 GB built-in storage audio system, smart-key, etc. Furthermore, Swift Dzire continues to steal the position of sales king ever since its inception, being a value for money offering in the segment and the never dying goodwill of the Maruti along the potent K-series and DDiS helps this car to excel. However, this time Tata has somehow managed to remove most of the shortcomings that prevailed in their vehicles and was pin-pointed by customers. Designed in Europe and India, Zest packs premium looks, improved quality standards and plethora of segment-first features along with a turbo petrol engine and a brilliant Fiat Multi-Jet derived diesel engine
