- Maruti ErtigaThis is my short review of my Ertiga which I bought 1 year ago. This is not going to be a long review with all details and loads of photos as we already have a T-BHP review for that. I am going to focus on a short and crisp review along with why I love Maruti cars and buy them again and again. This is my 3rd new Maruti in the last 12 years. First was Dzire Vxi which I bought in June 2009, it's still in the family with more than 75K kms and running absolutely fine. In October 2016, I got Ertiga Vdi (1 gen but new model). After using it for more than 4.5 years & 51K kms, I sold it last year for a great deal to Cars24. I had bought it for 9.8 Lakhs OTR and when I sold it after 4.5 years, it was due for tire change, battery change, wiper change & a couple of small things. Please note that it was running absolutely fine and had no issues. I never spent more than 7-8 K per year (around 30 K max I spent on service bills in 4.5 years) on that and used to get great mileage with the diesel motor. I was expecting around 6.5 Lakhs but Cars24 offered me 7.5 Lakhs. I was very much surprised and happily gave it. I was very happy with it but sold it for some personal reason. After 4 months, I was looking for a new car & checked cars like Honda City, Creta, Seltos, Innova, Harrier, Safari etc. City was good but quite low and mainly has the capacity of 4+1 people. Frankly, I didn't like the 5th gen much and I find the 4th gen better, strictly my personal view so don't jump on me. New Creta's looks I didn't like at all, Hyundai designs have been crazy for the last few years for sure. Again my personal opinion. Seltos was good but I found it to be costly for what it offers for that kind of money. I was not interested in Nexon, Brezza, Kiger, Sonet, etc. after using Ertiga which is a very spacious car for 5 people & carries more in case of need for short distances. I liked Safari and Harrier both but the price was 23+ lakhs for the models I was looking for. Safari is good but not a proper 7-seater after giving so much money. So we kept it on hold. I also checked Innova. Test drive was done and it was good. When asked about prices, I was blown away completely as the base diesel model was 23 Lakhs, mid-model for 27 Lakhs and the top end was almost 30 Lakhs for manual OTR. Also with all rows up, there is no space for luggage. Plus when you drive Innova, you get the feeling that you are driving an MPV and not a car. Gear lever shakes like old Jeeps when you start the car which is very surprising. It's a little big for city use as well and has a cab-like image too.Read MoreWas this review helpful?YesNo
- The Maruti Ertiga Is AThe Maruti Ertiga is a versatile and practical MPV that caters well to family needs. Its spacious and well-designed interior offers ample room for passengers, and the flexible seating arrangement enhances its adaptability. The Ertiga's fuel-efficient engine and smooth driving experience make it suitable for both city and highway travel. Maruti's reliability and widespread service network further contribute to its appeal. While it may not boast premium features.Read MoreWas this review helpful?YesNo

- Overall It Is A Good CarOverall, it's a good car, but there is room for improvement, particularly in terms of safety. The mileage is great, and it has a luxurious appearance. White color seems to be the best choice for this car. You purchased the car in November 2022, and it has been almost a year, and you are satisfied with the car and its service.Read MoreWas this review helpful?YesNo

- This Product Very GoodBeast On The Road - Maruti Ertiga I have been a Maruti Ertiga lover for a decade now and have upgraded to the 2019 model after I sold the previous generation Maruti .Beginning with the things I love about the car is the whole exterior. LED Headlamps, the aggressive grill, the bonnet , the backlights. It appeals to me as an overall package oozing strength when looked from the outside. The driving is eased by the smooth gear shifts compared to other higher segments. It also is the most affordable 7 seater with the kind of features like reverse camera, navigation and cruise control. Now coming to the downside, having driven it for more than 150000 km, I can tell that the car certainly lacks stability when it comes to rough patches on the road. The body roll also becomes an issue when traveling uphills. The upholstery also requires a major upgrade as the interior doesn't cope up with the exterior. Overall the car has been a reliable partner in all my journeys. The captain seats help me cover good amount of km without any worries. The mileage also is around 19km/l if driven well in the city and 16 km/l on the highway which is pretty good for a car of this size. The pickup has also been no issue for its 1.5 cc MHAWK engine. The after-sales service is also not bad. After-sales service will not burn a hole in your pocket. Hope the review was insightful and would help you choose the right car.Read MoreWas this review helpful?YesNo
- My Experience With Ertiga PetrolI own a 2019 Ertiga ZXI Petrol. My buying experience with this Ertiga has been really great. I believe it's hard to find a better family car with such good seating capacity at this price range. When it comes to the driving experience, the seating posture is perfectly comfortable, especially the driver's seat. It gives a feeling similar to a normal sedan, not something big and heavy. Driving it at speeds of 100 to 120 kmph is easy, without any vibrations or shaking. The overall ride is smooth. The pickup is good considering its 1.5-liter engine. I've driven this car with 5 to 7 people as well as alone, and power has never been an issue except when the car is fully loaded on hilly roads. In my opinion, the car looks pretty good and sporty due to its wide and low body. This design also minimizes body roll at high speeds. The co-driver seat is just as comfortable as the driver's, and the middle seat provides good thigh support and space. The only small issue is the 3rd row, which isn't very wide. However, for short trips, 2 people can comfortably travel there. Speaking of the AC, Ertiga offers the best air conditioning in its price range. It cools the entire cabin in just 5 to 6 minutes. It takes a bit longer to cool the middle row due to its size. Regarding service and maintenance, it's similar to other cars. If we talk about petrol and insurance costs, you'd have to spend around 25K (assuming no damages). The rest depends on how well you maintain your car. Now, moving to the downsides: It lacks safety; the car's body doesn't feel very tough and solid. It's missing many features like a smart display and heating. The car sits a bit low, so it feels close to the roof. The 3rd row isn't very wide, making it uncomfortable for tall people.Read MoreWas this review helpful?YesNo
