The MG Cyberster is set to be launched in India soon and will arrive here in the fully imported route It boasts an aggressive design, a quirky interior design and has all the features one would expect from a modern car. But the standout bit is its electrifying performance, courtesy of the dual motor setup. It could also be the most affordable sports car as it could be offered with the battery rental scheme.

• The MG Cyberster boasts a cool and unique design that’s sure to turn heads when it passes on the road. 

• One of its cool design aspects is the Lamborghini-like scissor doors, which gives it plenty of character. 

• The 20-inch alloy wheels adds to the sporty look and gives this two-door roadster a sporty stance. 

• The fascia looks like the car is smiling at you, courtesy of the styling of the sleek swept back LED headlights and the airdam’s styling. 

• I also particularly like the arrow-styled turn indicators at the rear-end, which looks unique. 

• The MG Cyberster will be available to buy in four colours: Dynamic Red, Inca Yellow, English White and Cosmic Silver. 

• Step inside the MG Cyberster and you’ll be greeted by a dashboard that has a fighter jet cockpit vibe. 

• The driver gets to grip a chunky three-spoke steering wheel and behind it is not one, but three screens in the same panel – a digital driver’s display, an infotainment screen and another one to view vital statistics. 

• In addition to that, there is a fourth separate screen to operate the climate control. 

• This being a sports car, practicality isn’t its strong point as storage spaces are very limited. 

• Please do note that the MG Cyberster is strictly a two-seater offering. 

Features 

• Some highlight features include a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment and a 7-inch screen to view vital stats. 

• Additional amenities include a dual-zone automatic climate control, an 8-speaker Bose sound system and multi-colour ambient lighting. 

• The front seats are electrically adjustable and come with heating functionality as well, which can come useful when driving on a cold day. 

• Four driving modes – Comfort, Sport, Custom and Super Sport – are available to ensure you have an enjoyable driving experience depending on your mood. 

• 360-degree cameras as well as front and rear parking sensors are present to make life easier while parking.  

• The MG Cyberster gets bases covered with multiple airbags, ABS with EBD and electronic stability control. 

• In addition to that, the Cyberster also gets an electronic parking brake with auto hold. 

• A full suite of ADAS features with adaptive cruise control, blindspot detection and active emergency braking is available for a safer cruising experience on the highway. 

• As of now, the MG Cyberster doesn’t have a safety rating as it is yet to be crash tested.

• Despite being a two-door convertible, the MG Cyberster gets a 250-litre boot, which is decent. 

• It is good enough to accommodate a couple of soft bags for your weekend road trip.

• The India-spec MG Cyberster will come with the dual motor variant, meaning performance will be aplenty. 

• Headline numbers are 510PS and 725Nm. The Cyberster’s 0-100kmph time is just 3.2 seconds. 

• These dual motors are powered by a 77kWh battery pack and deliver a claimed range of 443 km (WLTP-combined). 

• The battery pack supports DC fast charging, where it can charge from 10 to 80 percent in just 38 minutes.

• In international markets, the MG Cyberster is offered in two variants: Trophy (RWD) and GT (AWD). 

• MG has confirmed the India-spec model will be offered with the all-wheel drive version.
