What is the latest update on the MG Hector Plus?
Two new 7-seater variants of the MG Hector have been launched - the Select Pro with a 1.5 turbo-petrol engine and CVT option, and the Smart Pro, now available with 7 seats, previously offered only with 6.

What features does the Hector Plus get?
The Hector Plus comes with a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 7-inch fully digital driver’s display. It also gets ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, a wireless phone charger, an 8-colour ambient lighting, and a powered tailgate.
What engine and transmission options are available with the Hector Plus?
The MG Hector Plus comes with the same engine options as the Hector:

a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine (143 PS/250 Nm)

a 2-litre diesel unit (170 PS/350 Nm).
Both engines are paired with a 6-speed manual as standard and the turbo-petrol unit also gets a CVT automatic.
How safe is the MG Hector Plus?
The MG Hector Plus is yet to be crash-tested by either Bharat NCAP or Global NCAP. However, its safety suite includes up to six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC) and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) functionalities like lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning and auto emergency braking.

- Generous cabin space. Puts its wheelbase to good use, offering leg space even for occupants over 6ft tall
- Segment leading features like a giant touchscreen, connected car features, and 11 Autonomous Level 2 features
- Good ride comfort over bad roads
- Impressive cabin quality
- ADAS is limited to the top-spec trim only
- The lack of a diesel automatic powertrain
- Design, while distinctive, may not be to everyone’s taste. Styling may be too busy for some
- Large touchscreen is not ergonomic to use on the move
