Flying Spur S Hybrid Review

Bentley India, the fully owned subsidiary of British luxury car maker has added a new variant in its flamboyant Flying Spur model series. This latest trim is christened as Bentley Flying Spur V8 and it is powered by a 4.0-litre, twin turbo based petrol engine under its hood. It propels the vehicle towards a 100 kmph speed mark in just a matter of 5.2 seconds and can reach a thrilling top speed of 295 kmph, which is quite remarkable. This latest variant is all about high level luxury and comfort aspects that are unparalleled to any other vehicle of its class. At the same time, it delivers an unmatched performance and provides a pleasant driving experience as well to all its occupants. The car maker is offering this latest variant with several luxurious aspects including a centralized air conditioning system with touch controls on an 8-inch touchscreen display, a rear seat entertainment system and electrically adjustable seats with memory function that further adds to its luxury quotient. At the same time, this latest trim also comes with sophisticated safety aspects including ABS with EBD, electronic stability program and a powerful lighting package. It has a steel monocoque body structure featuring super formed aluminum front fenders, which can safeguard all the occupants inside and minimizes the damage. This vehicle looks stunning, especially from its interiors as it is made up of premium wood and leather materials. Its price tag is mind boggling as it has a price tag of Rs. 3.10 Crores (ex-showroom New Delhi), which brands it as an uber cool toy for the super rich crowd of the country.

Exteriors:

This luxury saloon is undoubtedly a classy looking vehicle in its segment owing to its exclusively designed cosmetics. Its front profile has a couple of round shaped headlight clusters, which are powered by a bi-xenon headlamps along with LED daytime running lights . In the center, the radiator grille is done up with extensive usage of chrome, which gives an enchanting look to the front. The bonnet has a lustrous structure with two expressive lines that compliments the design of grille. The front bumper is in body color, but it has a pretty wide air dam that is treated with a lot of chrome. Its side profile looks quite simple but the fit and finish makes it look magnificent. It has body colored door handles, ORVMs, metallic window sill and glossy black colored B pillars. Its wheel arches have been fitted with a set of 19-inch classic alloy wheels, which are covered with high performance tubeless radial tyres. Its rear profile too looks magnificent, thanks to the LED brake lights and elegantly structured boot tailgate, which is skilfully decorated with chrome inserts. It has a total length of 5299mm along with an overall width of 2207mm and a height of just 1488mm. Its wheelbase is quite large with 3066mm, which creates a huge space inside.

Interiors:

This Bentley Flying Spur V8 trim has a luxurious internal cabin that can accommodate at least five passengers. Its insides are done up with a dual tone color scheme, which is complimented by a high gloss wood and metallic inserts. The main highlight of its interiors will be its cockpit section where there are two individual seats, which are electrically adjustable. They are further incorporated with a massage, heating and ventilation function as well. The individual seats in cockpit and bench seat in rear cabin have integrated head restrain and are covered with premium leather upholstery. At the same time, its dashboard and door panels also have leather inserts, which further adds to its aristocratic look. This trim is powered by a 4.0-litre petrol engine that has the displacement capacity of 3993cc . It comes with eight cylinders with each carrying 32 valves in it. It returns a decent mileage of 6.28 Kmpl in city traffic conditions and gives about 12.5 Kmpl when driven on bigger roads. The vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 100 Kmph in close to 5.2 seconds and attains a top speed of 295 Kmph, which is rather incredible.
