Enjoy 2013-2015 Limited Edition Review
Chevrolet launches the first anniversary edition of its popular multi purpose vehicle Enjoy, which is christened as Chevrolet Enjoy Limited Edition . It comes with a few additional features in its exteriors as well as in internal cabin. The exterior comes with a lot of chrome treatment, a pair of roof rails, ORVMs with side blinker and stylish body decals, which gives it a refined look. On the other hand, with a wood finished center console and dashboard the internal cabin looks quite elegant. Under the hood, this MPV comes with same 1.3-litre, TCDi turbocharged diesel engine with a displacement capacity of 1248cc. It can churn out 76.4bhp in combination with 188Nm of maximum torque. This engine is mated with a five speed manual transmission gear box that sends the engine power to its front wheels. The overall dimensions of this MPV are quite decent and can easily accommodate all passengers with ease. It is designed with a roomy wheelbase of 2720mm and a minimum ground clearance of 161mm. The boot space is about 195 litres, but when the rear seat is folded, it increases up to 630 litres, which is quite good. The overall length measures 4305mm and it comes with a total width of 1680mm along with a decent height of 1750mm.
Exteriors:
The company has designed this limited edition variant with a lot of chrome treatment, which gives it an appealing look. The frontage has a three dimensional radiator grille that is embossed with a gold plated company emblem in the center. It is flanked by a chrome surround headlight cluster, which is powered by halogen lamps and turn indicators. The body colored bumper is fitted with a wide air dam for cooling the engine and is flanked by a pair of round shaped fog lamps as well. The large windscreen is made of tinted glass, which is integrated with a couple of intermittent wipers. The sleek bonnet is designed with a few character lines as well. Coming to the side profile, it is designed with stylish body decals that gives it a sporty appearance. Then door handles are chrome finished and external rear view mirrors are painted in body color. These are power adjustable and integrated with side turn blinker as well. The neatly carved wheel arches are fitted with a classy set of 14 inch alloy wheels. These rims are further covered with 175/70 R14 sized tubeless radial tyres . The rear profile is equipped with a two tone bumper, chrome treated boot lid and a bright tail light cluster. The windscreen comes with a wash and wipe function along with a defogger. Apart from these, it is equipped with a sporty rear spoiler along with a centrally located high mounted brake light, a roof mounted antenna, chrome license plate appliqué and a pair of roof rails as well.
Interiors:
Its internal section is designed in a black and beige color combination along with wood inserts, which gives it an elegant appeal. This spacious cabin is incorporated with comfortable seats, which are covered with leatherette upholstery. Then it also has a three spoke steering wheel, wood finish on AC vents, door armrest and gear knob that gives it a classy look. The company has bestowed it with a lot of utility based aspects, which includes a high volume glove box, cup holders in front console, map pockets in all doors, door armrest in first and second row, an ashtray, cigarette lighter, driver side storage in dashboard and many other such features. The instrument cluster comes with blue illumination and has quite a few functions like a digital clock, tachometer, low fuel warning light, driver seat belt reminder and door ajar warning notification. It also ha a 12V power socket on center console for charging mobiles and other electronic devices.
Engine and Performance:
This Chevrolet Enjoy Limited Edition trim is fitted with a 1.3-litre, TCDi power plant, which is integrated with 4-cylinders and 16-valves using a DOHC valve configuration . This turbocharged diesel power plant has a displacement capacity of 1248cc and can churn out 76.4bhp at 4000rpm along with a peak torque of 188Nm at 1750rpm. It is skilfully coupled with a five speed manual transmission gearbox that transmits the engine power to its front wheels. It can attain a top speed of 160 Kmph and can reach the speed barrier of 100 Kmph from a standstill in only about 21.36 seconds. With the help of a common rail based direct injection fuel supply system, it has the ability to give out 18.2 Kmpl on the expressways, which is rather good for this segment. On the other hand, when it is driven in the city traffic, it produces close to 15.8 Kmpl.
Braking and Handling:
The front wheels are fitted with disc brakes, while the rear comes equipped with a set of drum brakes. This braking mechanism is further enhanced by ABS along with electronic brake force distribution. The front axle is assembled with a McPherson strut, while the rear is fitted with multi link coil spring type of mechanism. This proficient suspension system is accompanied by passive twin tube gas filled shock absorbers. On the other hand, this variant has a rack and pinion based power steering system, which is tilt adjustable and makes handling convenient.
Comfort Features:
The car manufacturer has incorporated this Chevrolet Enjoy Limited Edition variant with a number of sophisticated features. Some of these are an efficient air conditioning unit with rear AC vents, all four power windows, day and night inside rear view mirror, sun visors with vanity mirrors, headlamp leveling device, remote fuel filler release, front and rear courtesy lamps, cigarette lighter, an ashtray and a 12V power socket in third row. Apart from these, it has an advanced music system, which comes with CD/MP3 player, auxiliary port, USB interface and four speakers as well.
Safety Features:
The list includes remote keyless entry with buzzer, reverse parking sensors, rear defogger, central locking system, an engine immobilizer and speed sensitive auto door locks. This MPV comes with a safe cage body structure with side impact beams and crumple zones, which provide better safety for the passengers sitting inside. Apart from these, it is also equipped with a driver seat belt reminder notification, door ajar warning lamp, rear doors with child safety locks, centrally located high mounted brake light and ABS along with EBD. It also has airbag for driver and front co-passengers for extra safety along with front seat belts, which has a 3-point ELR (emergency locking retractor) function.
