As a boon for music-lovers, the Honda City is fitted with an advanced integrated audio panel. The New Honda City V MT comes with an ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) with Brake Assist (BA), dual SRS airbags , pre-tensioner seat belts and G-CON (G-Force Control Technology) body with a high integrity survival zone make sure that the passengers are provided with utmost safety in the car.

Exteriors

The 2012 Honda City V MT has been revamped from all angles. A completely new and enticing look has been given to the Honda City. The addition of a sunroof to the Honda City has taken it further in the list of most desirable cars. The OVRMs elegantly hold the turn indicators. Ample amounts of chrome on the radiator grille that holds Honda badge proudly gives the car an uber-cool feel. The ground clearance is enhanced considerably at 165mm thus giving a higher stance to the car. The new 10-spoke alloy wheels are a first-of-their-kind and look stunning when the car is on the move. A new set of rear combination tail lamps are rendered to the 2012 Honda City sedan, enhancing its style quotient. The bumpers are given a sportier look to fit the arrow shoot design. At the rear, reflectors are placed intelligently below the bumpers. Honda City V MT uses reflector lenses in its headlamps, instead of the more expensive projector type headlamps, which further reduce the overall cost of the car. The dimensions of the new Honda City are 4,440mm in length, a width of 1,695mm and a height of 1,485mm. The wheelbase of the car is 2550mm and the total ground clearance is 165mm. Interiors

Honda City V MT is a car with remarkable interiors and can seat 5 people comfortably. The instrument cluster of Honda City is placed at the most appropriate place for greater convenience. The interiors of the Honda City are further enlightened with a very attractive dual tone dashboard with soft lit Blue Meter graphics. Honda City offers spacious and comfortable leg space, excellent front visibility and enough head space for a 6 ft. tall person to fit in easily. The all new Honda City interiors are designed to meet the needs of customers by providing a variety of convenient, multi-purpose storage places too. Chrome door handles, door armrest with fabric inserts and silver lining on door also grace the car. Advanced integrated audio panel with USB/AUX/MP3/AM/FM with front and rear speakers and a wireless audio remote are installed to keep the occupants entertained. The air conditioning is powerful enough to erase the heat and so is the heater in case of extreme cold. The steering can easily be adjusted to the convenience of the driver and is provided with audio controls on it.

Engine & Performance

The Honda City V MT is equipped with a 4-cylinder 1.5-litre (SOHC), i-VTEC engine that produces a maximum of 116.3bhp at 6600 rpm and 146Nm torque at 4800 rpm. The company claims a mileage of 17 kmpl on the highways and 13.4 kmpl in the city.

Braking & Handling

The disc brakes at the front wheel are larger compared to the older version of Honda City and the new brake master cylinder has been made longer but with a smaller diameter. Drum brakes do their duty at the rear. Honda claims that it allows a more powerful brake booster performance and offers a lower pedal ratio for a more linear brake pedal feel. ABS (Anti-lock Brake System) with EBD (Electronic Brake-force Distribution) offers higher safety in case of sudden braking. The Rack and Pinion steering system with power assist makes the drive smooth. McPherson strut with stabiliser and coil spring suspension is used in the front and torsion beam axle with stabiliser and coil spring suspension is used at the rear.

Comfort Features

The cruise control feature has been recently added to the Honda City V MT. The rear seats of Honda City are set a bit higher than its front seats so that all passengers sitting on the rear seat can get a good view out. Under the rear passenger seats of Honda City, a powerful blower is placed with special and advanced compressor along with the under seat ducts. Other features which provide comfort in 2012 Honda City sedan are power windows, power door mirror, power door lock, rear and front seat centre armrest, fuel consumption display with warning, accessory socket, day/night mirror, headlight alarm, key alarm, foot rest, headlight adjuster for its height, driver side pull pocket, keyless entry, front seat back pocket, passenger vanity mirror, and coat hanger.

Safety Features

The new Honda City offers safety features for pedestrians too! Other safety features include dual front SRS air-bags and active headrests to prevent whiplash injuries for the front passenger and the driver. The rear windshield defogger is very useful in winters, while the G-CON structure creates a protective shell around the passengers to reduce the impact of a crash. A protective pre-tension seatbelt and limiting force-control belt arrangement is present in 2012 Honda City for keeping the occupants in a safe position after an impact.

Pros

Its spacious, comfortable and fuel efficient. It has a far higher luxury quotient as compared to its price tag.
