Hyundai is one of the preferred brands for Indian customers, and it compact sedan model Xcent is the most desired one. Among its variants, the Hyundai Xcent 1.2 Kappa S comes with a good list of features. Firstly, it is powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine that displaces 1197cc. There are strong braking and suspension arrangements to go along with the vehicle's speed qualities. Safety is also enforced with the presence of features such as ABS, fog lamps and many others. Coming to the exterior outfit of the car, it has a robust stance that is also tailored for a sporty edge. The applications of numerous fine design elements such as chrome highlights and appliqués further bolster its look. The drive-train is composed of 4 cylinders and 16 valves, incorporated through the DOHC configuration. This 1197cc engine is capable of developing a power output of 82bhp at 6000rpm, and a torque of 114Nm at 4000rpm. The engine is mated with a 5 speed manual transmission gearbox.
Braking and Handling:
The front brakes are equipped with discs, while the rear brakes have drums, enabling a good braking performance and reliable control. For the suspension arrangement, there is a McPherson strut fitted to the front axle, while the rear axle is rigged with a coupled torsion beam axle for added stability. Gas type shock absorbers are also present to reduce ride strains and promote comfort. Tubeless tyres adorn the wheels, enabling an improved level of control as well. A motor driven electric power steering system also assists in building ride stability.
Comfort Features:
For the entertainment needs of the passengers, there is a 2 DIN integrated audio system that comes along with radio facility, a CD drive and an MP3 player for optimal user satisfaction. This system allows for external devices to be connected through a USB port and Aux-In function. There are two speakers at the front and two at the rear, enabling a good sound quality. Bluetooth connectivity is another feature that enables call function and streaming of audio. The controls to the audio and Bluetooth systems are mounted on the steering wheel, giving ease of functioning for the users. Beside all of this, there is a manual air conditioning system that comes along with a heater, making for an apt drive environment. Then, there is a keyless entry system that comes with the benefit of a folding key, making for safety and easier operations at the same time.
