Mahindra and Mahindra launched the facelift version of its stylish sedan, Mahindra Verito. This time, the firm has put in all its heart and soul in building the fresh and new Verito. The major changes done to the car are in interiors and exteriors. Appearance-wise, new Mahindra Verito has gone up a notch, while the interiors have been given a new feel and ambiance. New Mahindra Verito has been launched in both diesel and petrol engine options as before . The engine department of the car has been altered at all. The Mahindra Verito G2, which is the petrol variant of the sedan, still features the same 1.4L MPFI engine producing 75HP of peak power with 110Nm of torque. The five speed manual transmission coupled with the engine managed to deliver a good mileage of 11.3 to 15.7kmpl . The smooth driving dynamics further provide the driver a wonderful car driving experience. The safety of the car and the passengers has also been taken care of. Interiors

The interiors of the new Mahindra Verito G2 have been refurbished. However, not many changes have been done on the inside, but the company has been careful about the interiors and tried making it more lavish and luxurious as compared to the older version of the sedan. The new door and grab add on a tint of sparkle to the interiors of the car. Plus the new upholstery for the seats, the two tone instrumental panel and the centre console with Variometric AC and ergonomic controls take interiors of the sedan to a whole new level. The new Mahindra Verito G2 also features has 2-DIN music system with AUX-in and USB support . The electric ORVMs controls, door mounted power window switches and spacious boot add on more points to the interior department of the car.

Engine and Performance

Brand new Mahindra Verito G2 is the petrol variant of the sedan. The car has been refurbished in terms of interiors and exteriors. Under the hood scenario of the new Mahindra Verito G2 has been kept same as before. The engine here is 1.4L MPFI petrol that has a displacement of 1390cc . the engine is strong, dynamic and aggressive and keeps the ability to produce peak power of 75bhp at the rate of 5500rpm with 110Nm of maximum torque at the rate of 3000rpm. Mahindra and Mahindra has worked smartly and coupled the engine with five speed manual transmission, which pushes the sedan to a new height and help it to deliver a good mileage of 11.3kmpl in the city and 15.7kmpl of fuel economy on the highway. Mahindra Verito G2 has also turned out to be a great performer on road. When accelerated, the engine sends the power to the wheels and it catches up a top speed of 152km per hour and takes up 15.8 seconds to reach from 0 to 100 km per hour speed mark . On the whole, the engine and mileage of the new Mahindra Verito G2 remains same as before and doesn’t letdown at all.

Braking and handling

The braking and handling of the new Mahindra Verito G2 variant is quite impressive. The braking system of the car is strong and utterly responsive. The sedan comprise of front disc brakes along with drum brakes for the rear . The handling of the car is taken a couple of notches higher with its superb suspension system. The front suspension system of new Mahindra Verito G2 sedan features McPherson Strut with wishbone link type, while the rear suspension system type is the H-Section Torsion Beam with programmed deflection coil spring. The gear shifting is much easier and smoother as compared to the other sedans available in the market today. The power steering further enhances the handling of the car.

Comfort features

The comfort features in the new Mahindra Verito G2 has been enhanced. The comfort level in the sedan has been amplified substantially. The Mahindra Verito G2 variant comes with air conditioner, cabin heater, head restraints (front and rear), front door map pocket, trunk room light, fuel lid operated automatically, power steering and boot opener. The ample of boor storage space make long trip easy and comfortable in the sedan. Also, Mahindra has taken care of the passengers and has made the rear seat roomier and provided the rear passengers with more legroom. All these high class comfort features make the car impressive. But as the Mahindra Verito G2 is the base petrol variant, it has missed out many comfort features as well, such as power windows, 2-DIN music system, internally adjustable ORVMs and so on . Overall, the new Mahindra Verito G2 sedan is an ideal family car, which not only delivers good mileage and power but also is easy on pocket.

Safety Features

Mahindra Verito G2 is the base petrol variant of the new Mahindra Verito sedan. The car is decent and humble in its safety segment. the sedan comes with adjustable steering column, fixed front seat belts, child proof rear door locks, anti-theft engine immobilizer, prismatic day and night rear view mirror, laminated windshield and headlamp leveling device. However, if Mahindra would have blessed the sedan with ABS, EBD and airbag, the sedan would have become one of the best ones in the lot today.
