Mahindra & Mahindra is one of the leading automobile makers in the country and is also one of the oldest home grown industries, since before the independence of India. This company has a marvelous fleet of vehicles prevalent in the Indian car market and most of them are utility vehicles, which have been doing incredibly well since their respective launches. This lucrative partnership unfortunately ended in year 2010 and Mahindra took over the rights of manufacturing this sedan, which was then renamed as Mahindra Verito. The Mahindra Verito 1.5 D6 BSIII has been fitted with a commanding 4-cylinder, 1.5-litre dCi diesel mill with 8 valves and a CRDi (common rail direct injection) fuel supply system . This influential diesel engine can displace 1461cc and can churn out 65bhp at 4000 rpm along with a maximum torque output of 160Nm at 2000 rpm. This powerful diesel mill is cleverly mated with a smooth 5-speed manual transmission. The company claims that this premium diesel sedan has the capacity to generate a healthy mileage of 21.03 kmpl , when driven under standard conditions. This Mahindra Verito 1.5 D6 BSIII can attain a top speed in the range of 150 to 160 kmph, which is rather remarkable. While the powerful engine can also make it cross the 100 kmph barrier from a standstill in just about 17.2 seconds .

Braking and Handling

The company has fitted the front wheels of this premium sedan with a set of disc brakes, while the rear wheels have been bestowed with solid drum brakes.
