The stunning and robust design of Maruti Ritz is definitely a head turner. The car is quite similar to Swift, though it is 90mm taller than it. The interiors of Maruti Ritz ZXi are quite spacious and give a majestic feel to the passengers. However, a tall person will feel crumpled seating at the rear end, as the leg room space is less. Engine Performance

The all new Maruti Ritz ZXi is powered by KB series engine with a displacement of 1197cc. The 1.2L four cylinder engine has 4 valves each translating to a overall of 16 valves. This K series petrol engine churns out maximum power of 83.8bhp@6000rpm and maximum torque of 113Nm@4500rpm. With the increasing pollution day by day, the makers of Ritz have kept a check as to not use harmful substances like Chromium, Cadmium. The Multi Point Fuel Injection (MPFI) system ensures that the fuel is burning efficiently. Another plus point in this amalgamation is the presence of DOHC (Double Over Head Camshaft) that ensures that higher torque is delivered by reducing the friction which helps in increasing the durability of the engine. Maruti Ritz has already been declared India’s first BS IV emission car. If we compare the performance of Ritz and Ford Figo then Ritz is a far better option as even a lower displacement engine in Ritz churns a higher power and torque. With outstanding mileage of 14.5kmpl in cities and 18kmpl on highways, Maruti Ritz ZXi falls class apart when compared to its competitors.

Braking and Handling

Maruti Ritz ZXi offers a very sound and dynamic braking system . The front wheels come packed with ventilated disc brakes whereas the rear wheels come with drum brakes. The front suspension is of the type Mc Pherson Strut with coil spring whereas the rear suspension is of the type Torsion Beam and Coil Spring. The Anti Lock Braking (ABS) system helps in preventing wheel lock up in case of occurrence of unwanted surprises on roads. The electronically assisted rack and pinion steering wheel ensures a smooth handing.

Safety Features

Maruti Ritz ZXi has a lot to offer in terms of safety features. The presence of central locking ensures the overall protection of the car. Adding more to the safety features are the power door locks as well as the child safety locks.
