Breaking the shackles of curiosity, Porsche stunned the Indian auto enthusiasts by launching its next generation Porsche Panamera sports car on 9th October, 2013. Trying to setup its feet in this part of the world, the Stuttgart based car maker has come all guns blazing and with spot on timing. With festive season nearing, the chances of selling some of these high end machines are high. However, Panamera sports car takers had been quite few in the past but the new breed of young billionaires raise some hope for this sporty cars manufacturer. In India, it’s the other model of Porsche that lured car enthusiasts. The second generation Porsche Panamera now comes with more sophisticated and contemporary designing along with a plethora of advance technological products. Powering the new Porsche Panamera 4 is the strong 3.6-litre Turbo Charged V6 Direct Injection Petrol Engine that is able to squeeze out a maximum power output of 310 bhp at 6200 rpm and capable of generating a hammering torque of 400 Nm at 3750 rpm, which is quite incredible. The additional six cylinders ensure that power supply is not a barrier, when cruising on the highways. The compression ratio is 12:5:1. A 7 speed dual clutch automatic transmission PDK is mated to this naturally aspirated powermill. Dual clutch transmission stimulates the gear shift speed and presents uninterrupted power flow that result in low fuel consumption and high performance. With a thrilling top speed of 257 kmph, the Panamera 4 completes the 0 to 100 kmph run in mere 6.1 seconds.
