- Love Safari Always Because Tata Give Us HappinessI prioritize safety and services, especially in India where road safety is crucial. Given the conditions of Indian roads and the reliability of Tata vehicles, I've chosen to take pleasure in driving Tata cars.Read MoreWas this review helpful?YesNo
- Review Of Safari After 6000 KmHere is my review of the Safari after driving it for 6000 km (6 months): Mileage: 5/5 stars (averages over 20 km on the highway) Stability: 5/5 stars Infotainment: 2/5 stars (experiences occasional lag and unresponsive touch) Acceleration: 5/5 stars (noteworthy in city and sports mode) Customer support: 4/5 stars (an adequate effort to resolve issues) Roadside assistance: If the vehicle is under warranty, service is available but may take 2-3 hours. Service: Routine servicing is similar to other vehicles, but extra attention is needed for DEF level (additional expenses may be incurred). Accessories: Tata's accessories are expensive; it is more economical to purchase them from outside sources. Paint quality: 3/5 stars (prone to stone chipping on highways, so darker colors should be avoided) Overall build quality: 4/5 stars (strong, but uneven panel gaps and finishing could be improved in certain areas like doors) Transmission: Manual transmission may not be suitable for inexperienced drivers due to the risk of clutch damage. Automatic transmission is problem-free. Lights: Comes with halogen lights (insufficient for night driving), recommends replacing with LEDs (costs approximately 20k) Engine Noise: Minimal noise in the driving compartment even at speeds of 100 km/hr Top Speed: Smooth performance up to 165 km/hr Suspension: 5/5 stars (equipped with McPherson strut front suspension and anti-roll bar for improved stability compared to previous Safari, Scorpio Classic, and Duster models. No comment on XVU 700 and Scorpio N) Steering: Not exceptionally smooth due to the hydraulic system, but hydraulic steering provides better stability in the SUV segment Engine: Powered by the Kryotec 2.0 L Turbocharged Engine (similar to the one in the Jeep Compass)Read MoreWas this review helpful?YesNo
- Shoddy Infotainment System In Top End SafariIn December 2022, I purchased the top-end automatic Tata Safari from KHT Motors in Bangalore. I was initially informed that it came with a Harman system, but later I discovered that it was actually a cheaper Visteon system. Unfortunately, the infotainment system started experiencing frequent shutdowns from the third day onward. During the first service in January 2023, I reported the issue to KHT Motors, and they acknowledged that Safari had been facing similar problems. They assured me that they would update the software to resolve the issue, but unfortunately, the problem persisted. I lodged another complaint, and now they are discussing the matter with Tata and Visteon. It's disheartening to be misled by an inferior system in a car worth 30 lakhs. As a result, I have decided never to purchase another Tata car in my lifetime. Additionally, the mileage has been disappointing, never exceeding 8.5-9.Read MoreWas this review helpful?YesNo
- Had A Harrowing Experience WithHad a harrowing experience with my Tata Safari on hill roads and also with traffic jams recently! The clutch burnt out unexpectedly, putting me & my family at serious risk! Manoeuvring through steep inclines became a nightmare, and the traffic jam only added to the frustration. After this Guwahati's Tata service centre named Utkarsh Moto tech, Bamunimaidan, informed me that this happened due to the way of driving in traffic & on hill roads, however, my driver is one of the most experienced ones and yet this incident occurred so this is genuinely a major safety concern! Therefore, Tata Motors, I strongly urge you to prioritize driver training for hill road conditions! The lack of expertise in driving the Tata Safari on inclines is a serious concern for public safety. It's risky to navigate through these terrains and traffic jams without proper skills. Let's ensure the safety of all drivers and passengers as your company is not at all concerned with customer satisfaction after selling your product and all burden will lie on the customer.Read MoreWas this review helpful?YesNo
