What is the latest update on the Tata Tigor?
The Tata Tigor has been given a MY 2025 update which includes new features like a floating 10.25-inch infotainment display, a new instrument cluster, LED headlights, a 360-degree camera and a new 2-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo. These updates come alongside the introduction of new variants and a price revision for some existing ones, making them more expensive by Rs 20,000.
Tata Tigor price in India
The Tata Tigor is priced between Rs 6 lakh and Rs 9.45 lakh (ex-showroom). With a manual gearbox, it is priced between Rs 6 lakh and Rs 8.5 lakh. It is also offered with a CNG kit option, starting at Rs 7.60 lakh with the manual and Rs 8.85 lakh with the automatic. Prices for the AMT variants range from Rs 7.25 lakh to Rs 8.45 lakh (all prices are ex-showroom, pan-India).

All these variants have the petrol engine option however the CNG kit is available XT variant onwards. The AMT option can be had with all variants except the base-spec XM and the top-end XZ Plus Lux.
Which variant of Tata Tigor is best?
The XZ Plus variant of the Tigor is worth the money if you want your car to be well-loaded. It has a 10.25-inch infotainment display, a rear parking camera, auto AC, auto headlights and an 8-speaker sound system. It's the one-below top-spec variant and the top-end doesn’t add a lot in extra. That said, if you are okay with a smaller 7-inch infotainment, the mid-spec XZ variant is also a good option to look out for.

The Tata Tigor is a sub-4m sedan that measures 3995 mm in length, 1677 mm in width, 1532 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2450 mm. The Tigor features a sleek and compact design with a coupe-like sloping roofline. Its LED headlights with DRLs, stylish grille with horizontal strips and chrome accents give it a premium look.

Tata Tigor Engine and transmission options
The Tata Tigor is equipped with a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated engine available in two powertrain options:

Petrol - generates 86 PS and 113 Nm of torque, paired with either a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT.

Petrol-CNG - delivers 73.5 PS and 95 Nm of torque, once again paired with either a 5-speed manual or a segment-unique 5-speed AMT.

The Tata Tigor was crash-tested by Global NCAP in 2020 where it scored a four-star crash test safety rating.
The Tata Tigor’s safety features include dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), hill-hold control, and a 360-degree camera.

The Tata Tigor comes with a standard warranty of 24 months or 75,000 km, whichever comes first. This can be extended for an additional 12 or 24 months, with a maximum limit of 1 lakh km.
