Latest Update: A minimally-covered Brazil-spec VW Virtus was spied testing in India, likely for component testing for the new-gen Vento. The Virtus in Brazil borrows styling cues from newer VW cars, like the face from the new-gen Polo and the Jetta-like rear profile. Volkswagen offers the Brazil-spec Virtus with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and LED headlamps. Safety equipment includes four airbags, tyre pressure monitoring system, and ISOFIX child seat anchorages. Expect the new-gen Vento to get a well-loaded feature list. 

The new-gen Vento is likely to be powered by the VW Group’s 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 110PS and 175Nm. It will come mated to either a 6-speed MT or a 6-speed torque converter automatic. Volkswagen could also equip it with the 1.5-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine that will be on offer with the brand’s Hyundai Creta-rivalling Taigun.
