Moto Max product review

Who doesn’t like a shiny car? We all love one! There are a million products out there that claim to leave your car looking as good as new, but how many pass the litmus test with desirable results? You can only find this out when you invest in these products, or by getting feedback from friends and family who have used similar products. Investing in buying a new product to go via the trial and error method is not always a smart choice, as it involves money; and if the product doesn’t perform as per your expectations then there is always the discontent about your money going to waste. That’s where we step in to let you know which product will work best for your beloved machine. We keep reviewing products periodically and this time around we lay our hands on Moto Max’s car care range featuring the following:

1. Car wash shampoo

2. Car cream polish

3. Dashboard polish

4. Protectant spray

The real test for any product is whether it lives up to its claim. Since most products offer to make your car surface smooth, make the exterior shine and leave the interiors clean and looking as good as new, we decided to test them on a car which had lost its sheen due to dust and sun exposure and needed some TLC. So here’s how it went.

Before shampooing the car

We started by giving the car a nice was with the Moto Max car shampoo. As per the instruction we mixed 10 ml of the concentrate (the shampoo is not to be used directly on the surface) in three litres of water and worked it up to nice lather, washing the car with this mixture.  We could see the difference from the first wash itself. The shampoo is gentle enough on the paint, yet strong enough to remove the grime off the surface. You can see the sheen on the car, just after the shampoo wash.

Car wax polish

Polishing the car for many is a favorite pass time activity as the satisfaction of seeing your car shine bring a smile on the face of many. It’s relatively easy to use this car polish as it comes in cream form in a can with a sponge applicator, making it relatively less messy during application. One needs to apply a thin layer of the polish with the sponge and rub it in a circular motion till you see a buff/ matt effect on the surface. Post this clean the surface in circular motion with a micro fibre cloth and viola, your car will be nice and shiny!

To show you the difference we applied the polish first on the left side of the car and left the right side unpolished. As you can see the left side is brighter, with a glossy hue than the right side.

Dashboard polish

This is another favourite of mine. It keeps your dashboard looking nice, clean, shiny and moisturized. Look at the picture below, we used this product on half the area above the glovebox. As you can see the right side is shinier and looks new compared to the left one. We liked how quickly the product got absorbed in the material without any smell.

Protectant spray

The protect spray is ideal to use over plastic surfaces in the car as it gives them a nice sheen. We used this after using the dashboard polish too and it enhanced the shine of the surface.

Overall the products from Moto Max give you satisfactory results and don’t pinch the pocket either. If we had to recommend one product from the range then it would definitely be their cream polish; this one is certainly worth the investment. Our rating for the overall range would be 3/5.
