June 14, 2017: Mercedes-Benz India has just launched the AMG G 63 ‘Edition 463’ in the country at Rs 2.17 crore (ex-showroom Pune). The number '463' denotes Mercedes’ internal model code for the G-Class (W463). The old-school SUV is powered by a 5.5-litre petrol V8 engine that makes 571PS of power and 760Nm of torque. Using the AMG Speedshift Plus 7-speed automatic gearbox, the G 63 goes from 0-100kmph in 5.4 seconds, before hitting an electronically-limited top speed of 210kmph. On the outside, the Edition 463 sports a stainless steel underbody guard, 21-inch matte black alloy wheels and AMG sports strips. Inside, the single-tone dashboard is draped in black designo leather, while the seats can be finished in black or brown designo leather with black carbon leather side bolsters. Parts like the dashboard top-stitching, door handles, armrest and handbrake are colour coordinated with the selected seat colour. There’s even some AMG carbon-fibre trim inside to add a sporty touch.
