Mercedes Benz India, a fully owned subsidiary of Daimler AG, has managed to maintain its top spot in the Indian market during the first half of year 2010. The company has reported a sales figure of 2449 units for the period of Jan-Jun this year, as compare to the 2183 units sold by its closest competitor BMW during the same period.
The major factor behind this unmatched growth of Mercedes Benz India was a combination of its aggressive marketing strategies and entry of an array of new cars from its stable in the Indian market. The company had introduced its revolutionary C 200 CGI BlueEFFICIENCY in the country just a few months back, which has been receiving an overwhelming response from the buyers of this segment. It registered a 79 percent growth during Jan-Jun 2010, as against the sales during the same period, last year.
According to Dr. Wilfried Aulbur, Managing Director and CEO, Mercedes-Benz India, company's customers appreciate the Passion, Excitement and Fascination that are associated with Mercedes-Benz as a brand and its cars. Exciting products, world-class ownership experience and engaging customer programs have been its key levers, he added. According to him the company has more excitement for its customers and enthusiasts in the second half of 2010.
