Mercedes Benz India is planning to enter into small car segment exclusively for the Indian markets. Wilfried Aulbur, CEO and Managing Director of Mercedes Benz, agreed that Indian market is maturing and hence the company need stronger strategies to trap the market in more efficient way. Small car Mercedes Benz A-Class would solve the purpose for Mercedes Benz India.

But no declarations have been made by the company. No official website of Mercedes Benz talk about this idea.

According to Mr. Wilfried Indian markets play a major role for the company. He said that he wants to deliver the products to the customers which would justify the money spent on the them. He also stated that “We have decided to offer financial services to our customers...it will depend on regulatory approvals,”. This truly shows his sincerity towards the customers.

Mercedes Benz provide services like financial leasing, dealership finance, fleet management and insurance at a global level. The main focus in Indian market is on insurance and financial leasing as there is huge market to trap. The financial services provided by the company is an essential part of the overall company's business.

Mr. Albur in another statement showed his abysmal concern towards the customers by saying that he wants to deliver their customers one package that would solve all purposes. Mercedes Benz with market share of 40.5% wants to increase its profit in Indian markets so that they can re-invest sufficient amount back in the market. Mercedes is expected to come up with new plans and strategies to trap the Indian markets in more effective manner.

Mercedes Benz had highest return on sales in the first half of 2010 and in September, company enjoys its highest ever monthly sales.

For this purpose company is working hard on the research and development programmes with increased sources from India.
