Ford India will be launching its first compact sedan ‘Figo Aspire’ very soon. It will be the newest addition to the country’s one of the most competitive segment and will compete against the likes of Maruti Suzuki DZire, Honda Amaze, Tata Zest and Hyundai Xcent.
So, here is everything you want to know about the Figo Aspire, be the engine options, dimensions or variant level specifications.
Dimensions:
· Length: 3995 mm
· Width: 1695 mm
· Height: 1525 mm
· Wheelbase: 2491 mm
· Ground Clearance: 174 mm
· Boot Space: 359 litre
Engine Options:
Figo Aspire will be offered with a choice of three engines- two petrol and one diesel. The manual petrol variants will get a 1.2-litre Ti-VCT mill, which is basically an improved version of the outgoing block and puts out 88PS along with 112 Nm of peak torque. A 1.5-litre Ti-VCT petrol engine is also on offer that comes mated to a first-in-class 6-Speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. This range-topping petrol mill has been borrowed from the EcoSport and generates 112 PS & 136 Nm.
The diesel variants which will dominate the sales like any other car in this segment, will be powered with the same 1.5-liter TDCi from EcoSport and Fiesta. Ford has worked on this engine as well, resulting into a power bump of a decent 10PS. Now the oil burner generates 100PS with the class-leading max torque of 215 Nm.
Variants:
Ambiente-
This base variant will be available with only the manual gearbox coupled 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines. The front grille and boot accent will be painted silver, instead of the usual chrome. Body coloured door handles and ORVMs will also be missed on this trim along with front and rear fog lamps. Audio system and tachometer are some of the missing elements on the inside.
Trend-
Availability of this mid-level trim will also be restricted till 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines with manual transmission. In addition to whatever is available on the Ambiente, this trim will come with chrome treated front grille and boot accent, front and rear fog lamps, body coloured door handles and an electronically adjustable ORVM. An inbuilt infotainment system with USB, Bluetooth and AUX connectivity inputs along with steering mounted audio controls, tachometer and rear power windows will also be on offer.
Titanium:
This is the only trim that will be available with all the aforementioned three engine options, namely the manual-mated 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel, as well as the 1.5-litre petrol automatic. It gets a stylish set of 14-inches alloys and safety features such as ABS, EBD for the manual versions and ESP (electronic stability program), TCS (traction control system) and HLA (hill assist) for the automatic. It also gets a perimeter alarm and height adjustable seats and seatbelts (only front).
Titanium Plus:
This range-topping trim carries over all features from the Titanium trim. And as additions, it gets leather upholstered seats, 4.2 Multi-functional-display for the infotainment system and Ford’s famous SYNC with voice control and AppLink system. First-in-class 6 airbags (dual front, side and curtain), ABS, Ford MyKey and Emergency Assistance are there to keep the occupants safe.
Colours Available:
The Ford Figo Aspire is being offered in a total of 7 colours including Ruby Red, Sparkling Gold, Oxford White, Tuxedo Black, Deep Impact Blue, Ingot Silver and Smoke Grey.
