As far as the new Kwid is concerned, the carmaker is offering finance at an interest rate of 7.99 per cent through Renault Finance. The 2018 Kwid is packed with more features than before. First up, it’s now available with emergency locking retractor (ELR) seatbelts for rear passengers. These seatbelts lock under hard braking, preventing passengers from falling forward. Under normal circumstances, these seatbelts retract to keep the passengers comfortable and safe. Higher variants get more new features including fog lamps, rear parking camera, 12V socket for rear passengers and rear armrest. There are some new exterior chrome appliques as well, that add to the Kwid’s visual appeal.
The 2018 Kwid is powered by the same engines as before and the more powerful 1.0-litre engine can still be had with both manual transmission and AMT. However, Renault has added creep feature to the AMT in the new Kwid. It sets the car in motion at a slow pace in D mode as soon as you lift your foot off the brake pedal. This makes the Kwid AMT easier to drive in bumper-to-bumper traffic than before.
What’s more, the prices of the new Kwid remain unchanged, which makes the package all the more value-for-money now. Get complete details about what’s new in the 2018 Kwid here.
The Kwid also comes with a catergory-first 4-year/1-lakh km warranty and lowest cost of ownership when compared to its rivals. The Kwid is, in fact, 31 per cent cheaper to maintain than the Alto 800, while the 1.0-litre version is 28 per cent cheaper to maintain than the Alto K10. Read more in detail below.
