The BMW 3 Series project has been underway for almost four years, which the BMW R&D chief Klaus Draeger refers as the BMWs most ambitious project till date. BMW, the top selling luxury brand in India, apparently wishes to continue its dominance in the luxury segment against its most challenging competitors in India like Mercedes-Benz C Class, Volvo S60 and Audi A4 with the latest 3 Series. The new BMW 3 Series drops its current angular looks to adorn a heavier look in the likes of BMW 5 Series attributing to its broader frame and high rear end of the car. Despite the larger size of the car, the metal used in the manufacturing has contributed to the lower weight by 40 kg.
