It has been a while since, Mahindra has been testing the Scorpio facelift on the Indian roads. Speculations are on rife that the company will launch the vehicle by the end of the first quarter of 2014. If reports are to be believed, Mahindra will unveil the facelifted SUV at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo, which is said to be the best platform to introduce any vehicle. Earlier in the year, the leading SUV maker launched the limited edition of Scorpio in the country with added features.

To give a more sportier appearance, the new 2014 Scorpio facelift is likely to get updates both inside and out. The front facade of the SUV will feature a new headlamps, revised front bumper with prominent creases and restyled radiator grille. The rear profile now gets the revised taillamps, new rear bumper and tailgate, making it more sportier than before.
Inside the cabin, Mahindra Scorpio facelift comes with a redesigned dashboard and a more upmarket upholstery. The centre console will also see changes and a new steering wheel will be added to give a new look. It is expected that the interiors of the new Scorpio will be inspired from the XUV500.
Under the hood, the Scorpio facelift will carryover the same 2.2-litre mHawK diesel engine that churns out a maximum power output of 120bhp. The company might tune this engine to offer better performance and efficiency.
