We take a look at some of the biggest unveils at the 2016 Auto Expo. These cars will soon be launched in India, several probably this year.
Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza
Maruti’s EcoSport-killer, Vitara Brezza, has already garnered amazing response both online and at the expo. We can surely expect this to be another best seller from Maruti and it just might create a disruption in the sub-4-meter SUV segment.
Maruti Suzuki Ignis
This is another model from Maruti which has been generating attraction. The unveiled Ignis looks almost production ready and one can expect a very competitive price tag, when it hits the roads.
Honda BR-V
Honda’s Creta rival may not look the part, but the BR-V does has several cards hidden in its sleeve. There’s no hiding the fact that the BR-V is derived from Mobilio with more muscle and better interiors.
Chevrolet Essentia
Chevrolet hasn’t had much luck in the Indian market and the bow-tie company is hoping that with a new lineup, they can turn around things in their favour. Their compact sedan, Chevrolet Essentia, which is based on the Beat, certainly has the looks for it.
Chevrolet Spin
The Spin MPV is also the car that will lead Chevrolet’s new product offensive and will be launched this year. The car is bound to be slated above the Enjoy.
Tata Nexon
Tata is another car maker that has a wide range of products at the Auto Expo, with their Nexon SUV leading the show. The Nexon looks production ready, but it didn't differ much from the concept, which was showcased by Tata in the year 2014.
Tata Kite 5
The Kite 5 is a take by Tata on compact sedans. Based on the Zica hatchback, the Kite 5 looks good in skin and all we wanted was to be seated this beauty.
Tata Hexa
Tata Hexa is Aria’s reincarnation and the carmaker hopes to sell more of it, this time around. The Hexa is a looker and comes with ample space. A proper Innova rival, but will it be able to derail the Toyota MPV is a question that will be answered soon.
Jeep line up
Though it has been delayed for more than two years, the Jeep is finally here and will go on sale from mid-2016. The iconic UV brand displayed - Grand Cherokee, Grand Cherokee SRT and Wrangler.
Toyota Innova Crysta
Toyota’s unstoppable force, the Innova received an upgrade in the form of Innova Crysta. The next-gen Innova was promoted both cosmetically as well as in features. Expect the Crysta to be priced above Innova.
Nissan GT-R
The legendary Godzilla will finally arrive on the Indian roads, this year, provided Nissan decides to put it for sale. The Nissan GT-R was unveiled at the Auto Expo and was the highlight of Nissan.
