All-new Mercedes-Benz GLK spied

Mercedes-Benz, the German luxury carmaker is working aggressively to regain its top position in the luxury car segment. In order to achieve top rank, the company is aiming to launch several new products and facelifts in global market. The Stuttgart based manufacturer will also introduce the next generation GLK, which has been caught on camera during its test rounds on the streets of Germany.

WorldCarFans managed to click the camouflaged prototype of the vehicle, which rides lower than the current generation model. The vehicle looks larger in size as compared to its predecessor. The longer wheelbase will make the interior spacious, and offers more leg and head room for the rear passengers.

Based on the 2014 C-Class platform, the new Mercedes-Benz GLK will be developed for right-hand drive markets as well. The next GLK is expected to get a range of powertrains including a 1.8-litre turbo engine, a 4-cylinder, 2.1-litre diesel and a V6 engine. It is also speculated that the company will also introduce an AMG version of the vehicle.
