Leading commercial vehicle maker Ashok Leyland will today launch the Stile MPV, which will be the company's first passenger car. The Stile MPV is basically based on the Nissan Evalia, which was launched by its maker in the last quarter of 2012.
In terms of looks, Ashok Leyland Stile looks similar to that of the Nissan Evalia, but has received subtle changes to its fascia like the badge on the bonnet than on the grille and a revised bumper. Stile's rear too reminds you of the Nissan Evalia, the only change is the logo. Interiors too has remained almost same, but unlike Evalia, Stile has the captain seats for the middle row.
One major change that is expected to be there in the Evalia is the availability of CNG variant in the line-up which is still missing in the Evalia. Ashok Leyland Stile is also likely to come up with a petrol and a diesel version. The diesel version will derive its power from the 1.5-litre Renault K9K engine, which also does its duty to the Nissan Evalia. Capable to churn out the maximum power output of 85bhp and 200Nm torque, the 1.5-litre engine will be mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The Stile MPV is likely to be priced around Rs 50,000 lesser than the Evalia.
Our representative will be at the launch event today, so stay tuned to CarDekho for the pricing and other important details. Cheers!
