Following the launch of the new Vanquish in the global markets, Aston Martin has finally brought the stunning new luxury sports car to India. Vanquish points to an exciting and confident future for the historic brand. Having a price tag of Rs 3.85 crore, it becomes the second most expensive Aston Martin after One-77.
Vanquish is a new Aston Martin featuring the next generation of the renowned VH architecture as well as a significantly upgraded 6.0-litre V12 engine that is considerably more potent than before. Powered by a significantly revised naturally aspirated 6.0-litre V12 petrol engine mated to the famous Touchtronic 2 six-speed Automatic transmission, it churns out the maximum of 565bhp at 6,750rpm and 620Nm of torque at 5,500rpm. Moreover, the excellent acceleration figures of 0-100kmph in 4.1 seconds and a top speed 295kmph prove the massive power of the Vanquish.
Speaking about the same, Lalit Choudhary, Director- Performance Cars (the official importer of Aston Martin in India) says, "The initial belief was that we would sell a lot of entry-level cars like the Vantage and a few high-end variants, but it has turned out to be the other way round. Cars retailing at upwards of Rs 2.5-3 crore account for 80 per cent of the 40-odd cars we have sold so far."
Designed and hand-built at Aston Martin’s global HQ at Gaydon in Warwickshire the new Vanquish, available as a 2+2 or 2+0, sits atop a broad line-up of world-class sports cars including the exquisite DB9, sporty V8 Vantage and luxurious four-door Rapide.
