Audi India Willing to Receive S4 Says Top Official

Audi S4, the sporty derivative of the Audi A4 Sedan has been very much in conversations lately for its speculated launch in the Indian sub-continent. Some time back, the Audi S4 was even caught in the lens while undergoing the feasibility tests. The Brand Director of Audi, India Mr. Michael Perschke has been regularly responding to the queries that the fans of the brand across the country have been tweeting. Mr. Perschke commented, “so many people are asking me to bring Audi S4 to India.  I would love to but economies of scale have to work in favor of S4”. In another tweet he said, “be rest assured that given the demand for S4 we will bring it to India”.

He also responded to a tweet about a fan, who called Mercedes ‘an old man’s car’ and also that she loves her Audi Q5. He said, “I am glad you are enjoying a Q life. Lots of women are! And with Audi Q3 coming we will be further expanding our customer base”. The Audi S4 speaks an altiloquent language when it comes to design philosophy and performance. This attitude of the car is being fed by the 3.0-liter 6-cylinder TFSI engine, which is capable of pumping out 337.6 PS of peak power and 440 Nm of peak torque. The powerful V6 engine is mated to the 7-speed S Tronic transmission and this Quattro enriched car accelerates 0-100 kmph in just 5 seconds.

The fuel economy of 8.1 liters for every 100 km flaunted by this super-car is one factor that is supposed to win accolades among the fuel-efficiency conscious buyers of India. The entry of S4 might open the gates for the entire Audi S range. Well, the tweets are enough to annul the earlier grapevines that indicated towards May 2012 as the probable launch time of the Audi S4 in India; it can be inferred from the Brand Director’s conversations that this car is sure to hit the showrooms in India which might be later this year or early next.
