Auto Expo 2010: Day two spells magic

6th Jan'10, seen as the official inauguration of the 10th Auto Expo at Lal chawk, Paragati maidan, New Delhi attracted huge amount of general visitors along with electronic and print media teams chocking the venue completely. CarDekho with its dedicated team exercised its way amongst the rushy gushy dazzling world of Automobiles to capture every minute for you. Adding lustre to the brand new exciting Automobiles, Bollywood and Cricket stars like Shah-rukh Khan and Saurav Ganguly bestowed all Media, fans and general visitors with their esteem presence. Road safety rally organised by State Govt. Was also a highlight of this pleasant sunny day.

Hyundai Motors saw back-to-back launches of Hyundai H1, Hyundai i mode, Hyundai i10 electric and Hyundai genesis coupe today in the honoring presence of Shah-Rukh Khan and company's top-officials, preceded by a spectacular Laser show by South Korean performers.  With Shah rukh khan reaching 2 hrs late than the expected time of arrival, Media and VIP's were under constant strain as general visitors and fans pushed and forced to have a glimpse of the happenings. Shah-Rukh's comments had the audience in laughter splits as he said that his association with Hyundai is older than that with his wife and also that he always had an emotional connect with Pragati Maidan where his father owned a shop years ago.

Fiat's pavilion was packed with smashing showcases, Fiat 500 Diesel, Fiat linea DUALOGIC Transmission, Fiat Linea T-JET, Fiat Punto-Natural Power (Hybrid), Fiat Punto Sports and Fiat Punto Trendz. Fiat has always been targeting Indian Autmotive market and have shown their commitment to the Car-lovers pan-India that their efforts in innovation would continue for years to come, were the comments from Rajeev Kapoor, President & CEO, Fiat India .

With all Automotive majors targeting Indian consumer market, Honda Motors for the first time ever had “World Premier” of a new small Concept Car specially designed for India, having a sitting capacity for 5 adults. Mr M. Takebawe, president and CEO-Honda Seil cars India told our reporters here that “This is a remarkable occasion for Honda as we unveil the Honda New concept car to the world. India is a focus market for Honda and the World Premier of the small car at the Auto expo is a testimony to this fact”. Also, displayed here was Honda CR-Z (a concept model for a new Hybrid Model).

Toyota Motors pavilion had a formal launch for Toyota Etios and Toyota Prius along with the display of Camry Hybrid (available in Petrol and Diesel variants) and Fine-S (available in two operation modes (walking and cruising). Joining the league of automobiles was a Chair display by Toyota that can sit, talk, walk and what not.

Saurav Ganguly delighted his fans, accompanying them to photos and signing autographs for his fans with his gracious presence at the Vibgyor Bikes. Furthermore, Honda Motors left no stone unturned in the genre of entertainment for the general masses as the pavilion saw a Stunt biking program by a World fame artist. On behalf of Yamaha Motors, Valentino Rossi highlighted the launch with his presence.

With pleasant weather, dazzling launches, celebrity presence, the day went successfully with some minor glitches. The media faced problems with the passes issued on different days working differently.
