The Organisers of the last Delhi Auto Expo who had come under severe criticism from various automotive bodies for poor management of the event have now decided that they may move the event to Greater Noida. In addition to this pending decision, the organisers are also contemplating holding separate shows for automobiles and auto parts in order to make sure the events of the last Auto Show do not repeat themselves.

Dictated by tradition, the Auto Expo has previously been held at the Pragati Maidan in New Delhi and has been organised by the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), and the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association (ACMA). It has been reported that SIAM has sent letters to various leading automotive firms to ask for their feedback on this move. SIAM so far has neither confirmed this nor denied it.

Quite a few critics had words for the organisers ranging from the topic of seperation of the exhibits to improving the crowd management. Some even went so far as to suggest that the organisers take notes from the Auto Expo's held internationally and local auto shows and implement them in their event planning.
