BMW will be launching the new 3-Series today. The 320i, 320d and the 328i will be the three engine options that will be launched in India. The 2.0-litre diesel will remain the same just like the outgoing version and its power rating of 174bhp also remains untouched. The 320i gets a new turbocharged engine that will produce 184bhp of power. BMW has now downsized its engines and it has now ditched the straight six-cylinder engine of the 328i with a four-pot. So, the 328i gets the same 2.0-litre with an upgraded turbocharger to produce 245bhp.
BMW has launched the new all-wheel drive version of the 3-Series as the X Drive in the UK, we aren’t sure whether that model is likely to come to India. Neither are we certain if we could see or hear of the Corporate Edition 3-Series any soon. The F30 is likely to come loaded with various bells and whistles and the 328i could be expensive. Watch out this space as we get you the live coverage directly from the launch.
