Showcased at Auto Expo 2014 in February, the all-new BMW M6 Gran Coupe is finally launching tomorrow in India. The performance defining four-door coupe was first displayed at Detroit Motor Show 2013 while it has been spotted several times on Indian streets doing test runs ahead of its launch.
The new BMW M6 comes powered by the same powertain as found on the M5 model. Its performance characteristics are defined with the presence of powerful 4.4-litre V8 Twin-scroll and twin-turbocharging technology that helps produce massive power of 560bhp at 6000-7000rpm and top torque of 680Nm. The drive gets transmitted to rear wheels via a 7-speed M-double clutch gearbox. To add onto the performance of the car, it comes equipped with High Precision Direct Petrol Injection, ValveTRONIC variable valve timing and double-Vanos continously variable camshaft control.
The new M6 Gran coupe sprints to 100kmph from rest in just 4.2 seconds, while it can reach the top-speed of 250kmph (electronically limited). Like the 6 Series Gran Coupe, this will too see the CBU route to arrive in India. In the country, the M6 Gran Coupe will compete against the Audi's highly acclaimed RS7.
