BMW Starts Promoting 1 Series, Launching Soon

Compact luxury segment won't be the same in future as it is today, it will only get more competitive and profit making. We have seen the kind of response the all new Mercedes-Benz A-Class has received, now there will be more vehicles to join the newly formed segment. And the next big vehicle to join the race is BMW 1 Series, which is likely to priced almost similar to that of the A-Class. Audi too is planning to launch the A3 compact saloon at a very competitive price.

BMW has already started promoting the vehicle online by launching the official website for the 1 Series. The company has also come up with first-of-its-kind marketing initiative to lure buyers, under which ten lucky winners will get a fully sponsored trip to Germany, where they will get the opportunity to drive the 1 Series along with master blaster Sachin Tendulkar and Indian FIA GT driver, Armaan Ebrahim.

At the launch of upgraded 7 Series, BMW India president Philpp von Sahr had said that "The 1 series is due for launch later this year and to price it competitively, we are going in for CKD production of all its versions.”
