BYD Expands Network, Opens New Dealership In Chennai

BYD now has 19 outlets across the country ahead of the launch of the Atto 3 electric SUV

BYD has opened another new passenger vehicle showroom, this time in Chennai, and it’s one of its biggest ones yet. The outlet was inaugurated by Sandeep Rai Rathore, Commissioner of Police, Avadi Police Commissionerate, U Venkatesh, Chairman, KUN Group, Sanjay Gopalakrishnan, Senior Vice President of Electric Passenger Vehicle Business, BYD India, in the presence of senior officials of BYD India, KUN BYD and customers.

This dealership is spread across 20,000 square feet and is located at Ambattur in Chennai. It houses a showroom display floor, a customer lounge and a service bay. It is being operated by the KUN Group, a large automobile dealer network that manages a number of dealerships across south India and is also one of the biggest BYD car retailers in India.

Currently, BYD has two models in its India lineup. The E6 electric MPV and the Atto 3. The former was launched in 2021 and the latter is expected to be introduced soon as bookings for it are open.
