Car sales increased by 22.6 per cent in February

Indian auto market is the fastest growing industry globally, last year it clocked a growth of more than 30 per cent. For February 2011, the car sales raised by 22.6 per cent as revealed by a close source. The development can be accredited to the growing Indian middle class as India is the sub continent's third biggest economy. The car buyers are getting the benefits of the growth like wider choice of car models available to select from and also easily available loans.
The domestic auto mobile manufacturers rolled out 189,008 cars in the month of February as per the data available by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM).
2011 started on a great note for the auto companies, as they continued to register growth for the month of February. The Indian small car czars Maruti Suzuki India again crossed the figure of one lakh. MSI rolled out 101,543 cars clocking a growth of 19.8 per cent, these sales figures helped the company to bag the top slot once again. Tata Motors in the month of February sold 77,543 cars and witnessed a growth of 11.6 per cent. M&M on the other hand posted a hike of 19.66 per cent by selling 33,378 cars for February.
