Chevrolet Sail Sedan and Enjoy MPV Launching in December

General Motors India which is launching Chevrolet Spark Facelift and Sail U-VA hatchback in the Indian market this month only, is also considering to launch two other vehicles; Sail Sedan and Enjoy MPV in December. And like GM India has already disclosed that there will be other 4-5 models except these, which are to be rolled out in India in next 4-5 years.

Where the Sail Sedan will be replacing the existing Aveo, Enjoy MPV will be the first vehicle from the American auto giant in the growing Multi-Purpose Vehicle segment of India, where it will be competing with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Nissan Evalia, Toyota Innova and some others. On the other hand, Sail Sedan will directly compete with some of the best selling entry level sedans in India like Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire, Toyota Etios and Tata Indigo.

The upcoming Chevrolet Sail will derive its power from the fiat sourced 1.3-litre turbo diesel mill that also houses the Swift Dzire. The similar engine will be used in the Sail hatchback as well. Producing the maximum power output of 75bhp and 210Nm of torque, the Sail will be able to deliver an impressive mileage of around 22kmpl, the car will come with the petrol engine option as well.

The similar engine is likely to power the Enjoy MPV as well, so we can expect a good fuel economy from the enjoy. The Enjoy MPV might come in both 5 and 7-seater option and will be priced between Rs 8-10 lakh.
