Chevrolet Sail Sedan 'Coming Soon', says Chevrolet India Website

General Motors India which has already launched the Sail U-VA hatchback in India, is now all set to launch the Sail Sedan in January 2013. And the launch preparations seems almost done, Chevrolet has now updated all the details about the car on its official websites, which indicates that the car is really 'coming soon...' Speaking about the design of the Sail, Chevrolet on its website says "The appeal of the sculpted dynamic exterior form is matched by an equally stunning Corvette inspired Dual-Cockpit and “Horizon View” dashboard and pleasing interiors."

The company has also disclosed the list of all the active and passive features the car has been offered with. While the active safety features of the Sail includes Speed Sensitive AUTO DOOR LOCKS, Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) and Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD) it has also got Airbags, Seat Belts with Pre-tensioner, Crumple Zones, Collapsible Steering System & Side Impact Beams for passive safety, making it one of the safest cars in its class.

The engines that the Chevrolet Sail will come up with are 1.3-litre SMARTECH Turbo-charged diesel engine and 1.2-litre Smartech petrol, both these engines house the Sail hatchback as well. As per the website, the Sail sedan will also be offered with FUN WIDE Bluetooth® phone pairing & music streaming to enhance the driving fun and convenience. Other than the Sail Sedan, Chevrolet will also bring in its first ever MPV called Enjoy possibly after launching Sail Sedan.
