The new Formula One season started just the way last ended. Lewis Hamilton, the defending world championship, got off a flying start at the 2015 Australian Formula One grand prix. His partner and fellow Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg finished second. The one-two finish for Team Mercedes also continues in this season too. On the third position was Ferrari's debut driver Sebastian Vettel while his teammate Kimi Raikkonen failed to cross the chequered flag. Among many, the 2015 Formula One Rolex Australian Grand Prix was enjoyed by Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger who also interviewed the British champion on the podium.

Lewis Hamilton scored full 25 points by completing the race in 1 hr 31 min 54.067 seconds while his German partner scored 18 points as he finished 1.36 second late. The dominance of team Mercedes can be seen from the fact that the driver finishing third (Vettel) was 34.523 seconds late, and trust me lead of this time frame is monumental in any race, let alone be F1.

Finishing fourth was the team Williams Felipe Massa who scored 12 points while new on the tally table was the Felipe Nasr of team Sauber scoring valuable 10 points. Red Bull’s star driver Daniel Ricciardo only able to cross the chequered flag on sixth position while is teammate Daniil Kvyat failed start after suffering failures on their formation laps.

Force India’s Nico Hulkenberg managed to score 6 points while his partner Sergio Perez with 1 point was just ahead of McLaren’s Jenson Button.  Max Verstappen’s record-setting for the youngest ever F1 driver ended on a sour note when the Dutch 17-year-old rolled to a stop near the pit entry after complaining of smoke in the cockpit of his Toro Rosso.

While if recent reports are to believed, Red Bull may pull out of Formula One if rules are not changed. Helmut Marko, advisor said, “We will evaluate the situation again as every year and look into costs and revenues. If we are totally dissatisfied we could contemplate an F1 exit. Yes, the danger is there that Mr Mateschitz loses his passion for F1.”
