Nissan owned car brand, Datsun, will be showcasing the Datsun Go-Cross in India for the first time at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo. It was unveiled at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show where Datsun said that Go-Cross shares the platform of GO+.
The car may be launched in two versions i.e. 5-seater and 7-seater of which the former is expected to be launched first. Although Go-Cross share some features with GO+, upgraded attributes combined with the present market scenario are expected to make the latest offering of Datsun costlier than GO+ and GO.
Apart from the GO-Cross, Datsun is also deliberating on a entry-level hatchback which is most likely to be made on the same A-platform used by Nissan-Renault Alliance’s CMF. The same platform is used by Renault Kwid which is also likely to grant various parts and components to the entry level hatch. Design will be something which will be completely independent for the hatch and will evolve on its own. Named as redi-GO, the car has already been showcased at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo, but a better and improved version of it is expected at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo. The car will be positioned below the Datsun GO, underscoring the fact that it is a entry-level hatch.
