Dilip Chhabria's pavilion at Auto Expo

Dilip Chhabria's (an internationally acclaimed auto designer) Pavilion at Hall No 6 A and Stall No. OD 1 in the Auto Expo 2010, out-stood its contemporaries with its mere panache, class and stylish displays. The pavilion was glutted with logo of DC design (in white color) highlighting its motto well that in the field of Automotive design, enjoys unprecedented influence within the industry. Dilip launched three cars here in association with DY Patil Group, of the DYP-DC Centre for Automotive Research and Studies namely Modded Innova, DC Imperator and YingYang mini bus/van. The launch became a talk-of the town with its pavilion attracting great attention amongst the presence of well-known Bollywood celebrity Vivek Oberoi.
DC Imperator, a luxurious sedan was launched here at the Auto expo 2010. Imperator, Super Sports utility vehicle has two front wing doors as against the conventional 4-door opening. The car is powered with Audi's 6.0 litre V12 TDI engine and fitted with world-record 48-inch wheels. The design comes with one huge hydraulic Butterfly Door and Massive Head and Leg room. The car is a four-seater.
To pamper the audience's eye was the modded Innova, which is available in collaboration with Carnations for around 4.95Lac. The car features a large screen LCD TV, Captain seats, Rear AC vents and loads of features that caught everyone's eye.
Next there was the Ying Yang Van. Massive in size it has a 26 inch Sony Bravia LCD in the door, 2 Sony LCDs behind the front seats and one Sony Home theatre System. The car has a single row seat that curves from the back of the car towards the front along with plenty of AC vents to keep everyone cool. The vehicle is a amalgamation of en vogue box aesthetic and a traditional minivan.
Along the above three launches auto design firm DC, also revealed its plans to redesign the World's cheapest car Nano and launch it with a premium price tag of Rs. 1 Crore. DC said that the development and design of the car would involve an expenditure of Rs 1 crore, out of which the firm has already invested 90 per cent.
Vivek seemed elated at the launch and quoted that the car personifies future and is an amazing design. Dressed in white t-shirt and blue jeans expressed his willingness to own the car from his presently owned Mercedez. Dilip Chhabria the man himself describes his design as an audacious concept meant to generate a new segment where a SUV need not be boxy and rugged but sexy and sensual. He defines it as a visual treat with the goal to spawn a new design and direction segment.
