We all know the pony is on a world tour for the very first time with its 6th generation model and Ford has promised that there’s not one spot left in the world, that doesn't get a Mustang, and voila we are getting it this year!
Mustang is going global and for the first time, ever the 50 years old nameplate will get a right-hand-drive layout. The vehicle has been spotted at the ARAI center probably for the government approvals. Mustang is expected to launch around Diwali this year, Ford will follow the CBU (Completely Built Unit) route and it is likely to bear a price tag of Rs. 60-65 lac for this top-end GT 5.0-liter V8. Moreover, Ford Mustang also comes with two more engine options globally - a 2.3-liter 4-cylinder EcoBoost and a 3.7-liter Ti-VCT V6. This said, India is most likely to get this range-topping - 5.0-liter V8.
The engine we are talking about is a massive 5.0-liter V8 churning out 418 PS at 6500 rpm and a colossal 524 Nm of max twist. The spotted car features an automatic transmission, it's Ford’s - 6-speed SelectShift Automatic; although, Mustang also comes with a 6-Speed manual transmission. The engine has a very throaty exhaust note specific to it so that you don’t go unnoticed!
In case you haven't noticed, don’t worry I can pardon you, the new Endeavour is also parked there! The SUV is also part of four launches Ford India will do this year. Apart from the new design, the Endeavour will get two new engines, a smaller 4-cylinder 2.2-liter turbo diesel generating 158.2 bhp and 385 Nm of max torque. And a more powerful 5-cylinder 3.2-liter diesel mustering 197.1 bhp and a blistering 470 Nm of peak torque.
