  • The front end has been revealed in the new spy shots, indicating its inspired design from the new Tucson.

  • Going by the spy shots, the facelifted Creta gets a new grille, revised front bumper, and new headlamp and fog lamp housing.

  • Changes are expected to be made to the rear profile as well as the cabin, the latter seeing some feature additions.

  • Powertrain options should remain the same as earlier, including the 140PS 1.4-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines.

The Hyundai Creta facelift has been spied testing in Indonesia, this time revealing more cosmetic upgrades onboard. We are expecting the facelifted SUV to be launched in India by 2022.

New-Generation Hyundai Tucson (For Reference)

The spy shots show that the front end of the facelift will undergo a complete makeover. The front profile seems inspired by the new Tucson that was launched overseas in 2020. The facelifted Creta will get a new grille, revised bumper, new headlamp and fog lamp housing and faux skid plate. The alloy wheel appears to be unchanged, as seen on the top-end Turbo-DCT variant of Creta.

The rear profile cannot be seen, but there could be revisions done to the bumper and tail lamp design. There’s no image of the interior, but Hyundai is expected to refresh the cabin and add some features.

Hyundai Creta Facelift Spotted Overseas In Camouflage

There should be no changes made to the powertrain options with the facelifted Creta. The SUV is available with three engines: a 140PS 1.4-litre turbo-petrol, and a 115PS 1.5-litre petrol and diesel. The petrol and diesel engines come with a 6-speed manual transmission as standard, along with the options of a CVT and 6-speed AT, respectively. The turbo-petrol unit gets a 7-speed DCT (dual clutch automatic) as standard.

As said, the Creta facelift is likely to be launched in India towards the end of 2022. It currently retails from Rs Rs 9.99 lakh and Rs 17.7 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), rivaling the Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, Nissan Kicks and the upcoming Volkswagen Taigun.
