Fiat Aegea, a C-segment sedan, that the manufacturer first revealed in the Istanbul Motor Show (in early 2015) has been spied undisguised. The snapped vehicle seems to be in near production stage. It could possibly be the Linea replacement for India, though FCA India has not confirmed such possibility, at least for next one year. The manufacture plans to sell it in 40 countries and at initial stage, will only make it in left hand drive setup.
The spied car is very near to the concept showcased earlier this year at the Istanbul Motor Show. It showcases the same single gaping grille converging into the sleek headlamps. The sides feature bold shoulder line and large alloy wheels. While the pincer-ish tail lamps are joined by a chrome garnish and sit on a decently designed boot.
Power will be coming from Fiat’s Multijet II diesel engine available in two options, while there will be two petrol motors to choose from. The power output of these engines is expected to lie between 94 bhp to 118 bhp band. The diesel motor is touted to produce over 24 kmpl of mileage.

It features the latest interiors from Fiat, reminiscence of its premium offering like the 500x. The cockpit stays true to the retro style that the manufacturer is known for. The central console will feature a touchscreen medianav system.
Dimension-wise, Aegea is 4500 mm long, 1750 mm wide, 1480 mm tall and gets a wheelbase of 2640 mm. To give you an idea, Maruti Ciaz is 4490 mm long, 1730 mm wide, 1485 mm tall and has a wheelbase of 2650 mm. It is only ahead in height and wheelbase, so it could act as a close competitor in terms of dimensions.
