Fiat India seem to be learning better market strategies, thereby striving hard to get hold of Indian auto sector. The Italian carmaker is all-set to launch three new vehicles this year in the country. The upcoming list of cars includes Fiat Avventura, Fiat Abarth 500 and Fiat Punto facelift. The brand in particular has not been able to show substantial growth pertaining to the fierce competition already existing in this market. Standing against brands like Maruti, Hyundai and Honda, is certainly not a cake walk for any brand to gain its share of market. But, Fiat India seem quite a potential in a way, as there are several merits that are attached with this brand. In terms of top-class engines and products representing impressive Italian craftsmanship, Fiat's class has not been replicated by any other brand in India.
With the upcoming vehicles, the company is also working on its product positioning and entering those untouched segments like compact SUV and luxury premium hatchback with its new Abarth 500. Also, the company is keen to work on their pricing policy, thereby bringing there flagship hatch- Punto with a facelift, and also with revised prices. Apart from this, the company is also introducing new Chrysler models in India, but that would be by 2016. The Fiat Group Automobiles India (FGAIPL)- wholly owned subsidiary of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles- has already announced the launch of nine vehicles by 2016. Out of these, five models will arrive under the brand name of Fiat, while rest models including Jeep Wrangler and Grand Cherokee by Chrysler brand.
Fiat's dealership is also expanding at fast pace with current 108 dealerships opened across the country, and it aims to reach 150 dealerships by the end of this year.
